News: Beautiful Little Fools as part of Camden Fringe Festival

Beautiful Little Fools premieres at The Cockpit this August as part of Camden Fringe Festival 2017.

Three girls are taken by the government and trapped in a room underground; their only contact to the outside world is through the media broadcasts we hear today. With no memory of where they are or who they were before, they are unaware that they are the experiment. This experiment has an aim: to re-condition the human mind to hate and adhere to the governments demands. Within 60 minutes we see the brutality of how the girls are both mentally and physically conditioned. What lengths they will go to in order to gain their freedom.

Beautiful Little Fools is a brand-new drama focusing on the battle between our natural moral instinct and how we are subliminally taught to behave. An all female, new writing piece, it explores how media can manipulate the human mind. With Trump, The Iron Lady, Mrs Strong and Stable, The Bush and more, we see if three girls can be brainwashed to adhere to the government’s demands. In today’s turbulent times, this couldn’t be more relevant.

The show is written by Jemma Burgess and produced by Optic Theatre Company.

Beautiful Little Fools plays The Cockpit as part of Camden Fringe Festival from 7-8 August 2017. For more information or to book tickets, please visit the website.
