Energising Culture, the first in a series of conversations that focusses on energy, ethics and finance in the cultural sector, was launched by Julie’s Bicycle.

Set in the iconic Barbican Centre conservatory, Julie’s Bicycle hosts an event that shines the (environmentally friendly) spotlight on the cultural sector and asked questions around sustainability, ethical sponsorship and renewable energy sources.

Chaired by Programme Manager Chiara Badiali, speakers included Francis Runacres, Executive Director of Enterprise and Innovation, Arts Council England; Barbara Hammond MBE, CEO of The Low Carbon Hub; and Jonathon Poyner, Director of Operations and Buildings at The Barbican Centre.
